Film Festivals

The Cinematic Arts Academy has three film festivals each year:

The Phantom Film Festival:  This festival serves as a fundraiser for the Advanced Production class just before their off campus shoot in the fall.  The advanced production students create spooky Halloween themed films for the festival that are given feedback by alumni, jury awards by industry professionals, and an audience choice award!

The Winter Film Festival:  This festival is our mid-year event encompassing the work of all three classes: 6th Grade CAAM, VFX Lab, and Advanced Production.  The event is held on the Millikan campus and has food, a raffle, and photo op on the red carpet.  The audience votes on the Audience Choice Award at the end of the evening.

The Spring Film Festival:  This festival showcases the best student work from the spring semester from all three classes: 6th Grade CAAM, VFX Lab, and Advanced Production.  The event is held at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood and reveals the CAAM Spirit Awards, Rising Star Award, and an Audience Choice Award.

CAAM students are involved in many film festivals outside of the program throughout the year.  Check out the most recent awards here!
